You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.
— Ansel Adams

Welcome! I’m Frank. I’m a film photographer who focuses mainly on urban landscapes and architecture. All of my photos were shot on film and developed by my hand in my home darkroom. This means dust and the occasional hair or cat fur might stick to the film as it dries. In general I try to remove the most distracting parts. But overall, if it’s not obscuring something important I’ll leave it. It’s a reminder to me that I’m using an imperfect medium and imperfect tools, which happens to by the charm that first attracted me to it all. We each have imperfections and in this increasingly sterile world we find ourselves inhabiting, I think it’s important to hold on to these little reminders. When I look at my finished images, I see a soul glaring back at me. I hope you do as well.
